WHAT IS FRENCH ROULETTE?

Understanding French Roulette – The Roulette Variant with the Best Odds

French Roulette is one of the oldest and most respected roulette variants in the casino world. Unlike American Roulette, which features two zero slots (0 and 00), French Roulette uses only a single zero (0) — bringing the house edge down to as low as 1.35% when you play under the La Partage.

At Ong88, French Roulette is available in two formats — an independently audited RNG digital version, and a live casino version with real dealers welcoming you in real time. Both formats guarantee a fair, secure, and thoroughly enjoyable gaming experience.

For Malaysian players who want a world-class casino experience without travelling abroad, ong88 delivers a full French Roulette experience — right from your smartphone screen.

Bet Types in French Roulette

Bet Types	Payout Odds	Win Probability
Single Number (Straight Up)	35:1	2.7%
Two Numbers (Split)	17:1	5.4%
Three Numbers (Street)	11:1	8.1%
Six Numbers (Line)	5:1	16.2%
Dozen (12 Numbers)	2:1	32.4%
Red / Black	1:1	48.6%

High / Low (1-18/19-36)	1:1	48.6%

La Partage Rule: If the ball lands on zero (0), half of all outside bets (red/black, odd/even) are returned to the player. This makes French Roulette more favourable than other variants.

STRATEGIES & TIPS

Smart Strategies for Playing French Roulette

No strategy can guarantee a 100% win rate in roulette, but with the right approach, you can maximise your enjoyment and manage your risk more effectively. Here are some practical tips for Ong88 players.

Start with Outside Bets

For new players, focus on outside bets such as red/black or odd/even. Although the payout is 1:1, the winning probability is close to 50% — the ideal way to learn the game without taking on too much risk.

Set a Loss Limit

Before you start playing, set a maximum amount you're comfortable losing — for example RM50 or RM100. Once you reach that limit, stop playing. This is sound bankroll management practice.

Understanding the Martingale Strategy

The Martingale strategy involves doubling your bet after every loss. While it can be effective in the short term, it requires a substantial bankroll. Use it with caution and only at tables with high betting limits.

Make the Most of the La Partage Rule

French Roulette at Ong88 applies the La Partage rule in full. When the ball lands on zero, half of your outside bets are returned — use this to your advantage by placing more on outside bets.

Try Free Mode First

Ong88 offers a demo mode for players who want to practise without using real money. Use this opportunity to get familiar with betting patterns before playing with real credits.

French Roulette at Ong88 – A World-Class Casino Experience from Malaysia

For many casino players in Malaysia, French Roulette is more than just a game — it's a symbol of luxury, elegance, and unmatched excitement. Ong88 understands this, which is why we invest in the best technology to ensure every session feels like stepping into a Monte Carlo casino, right from the comfort of your home or office.

Roulette traces its origins to 18th-century France, and French Roulette remains the purest form of the game. A wheel with 37 slots (numbers 0 to 36) spins in the opposite direction to a small ball released by the dealer — and it's precisely this mechanical simplicity that gives it its timeless appeal. At ong88, every detail is faithfully recreated in both digital and live casino formats.

One of the main reasons Malaysian players choose French Roulette at Ong88 is the genuine value it delivers. With an RTP of 98.65%, every RM100 wagered statistically returns RM98.65 over the long run — well above the typical 93% to 96% seen in most slots, or the 94.74% RTP of American Roulette.

The La Partage rule — meaning "sharing" in French — is another unique advantage of French Roulette. When the ball lands on the green zero (0), all active outside bets are not immediately lost. Instead, half of your total wager is returned to you right away. This significantly reduces your risk on every spin, making this one of the most player-friendly roulette variants available.

At Ong88, we offer French Roulette across a range of betting limits — from as low as RM1 per bet for newcomers who want to learn the ropes, all the way up to high-limit tables for seasoned players seeking a bigger challenge. Every table comes equipped with real-time statistics, previous number history, and quick-bet options to keep the game moving.

For Malaysian players, seamless payments are a top priority. Ong88 fully supports all major local payment methods — Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks, GrabPay, Boost, and ShopeePay. Deposits are processed instantly, and winnings can be withdrawn in under 5 minutes with no complicated procedures.

The security of your personal and financial information is our top priority at Ong88. All data is encrypted using 256-bit SSL technology, and our platform fully complies with international security standards. You can play with complete peace of mind, knowing your data is always protected.

Ong88's customer support team is available 24/7 in both Malay and English. Whether you have a technical issue, a betting query or need guidance on French Roulette, our team is reachable via live chat or email at any time.

Whether you're a seasoned casino player well-versed in Martingale, Fibonacci and D'Alembert strategies, or a complete newcomer trying French Roulette for the very first time — ong88 has everything you need. Register today and enjoy an exclusive welcome bonus of up to RM500, plus weekly cashback credited automatically to your account every Monday.
